Chidoriashi (千鳥足) – Fast Extended Gallop | Japanese Equestrian Print

A Japanese rider from an Edo-era scroll, riding Chidoriashi (千鳥足), likely a gallop of some sort. The sound of the horse’s steps in this gait is said to sound like the wings of plovers in flight.
